to-the-point Orix Chudenko complete 4.7-MW PV plant in Japan
April 1 – Japanese financial services provider Orix Corp (TYO:8591) and domestic builder Chudenko Corp (TYO:1941) announced on Thursday the completion of a 4.7-MW solar power facility in Okayama prefecture.
The OC Higashinozaki Solar Power Plant, as it is named, comprises 18,676 photovoltaic (PV) panels spread over an area of 54,464 sq m (586,245 sq ft). It is expected to produce 5.58 million kWh per year, enough to met the consumption of 1,550 local homes, the company said.
OC Solar Corp, a joint venture between Orix and Chudenko, will be responsible for the plant that started commercial operation on March 25.
