July 15 – Japanese firm NTT Facilities Inc, a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp (TYO:9432), announced today it has inaugurated a 2.96-MW solar power plant in Okazaki city, Aichi Prefecture.

The construction of the park began on February 18, 2016 and was finalised on June 29. The solar array has an estimated annual output of 3,400 MWh, enough to meet electricity demand from some 950 local households.
