to-the-point Ujaas to build 3-MW solar project for Uttar Pradesh university

June 17 – Indian electrical equipment maker Ujaas Energy Ltd (BOM:533644) today said it has received an order to build a 3-MW solar system at an university in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The turn-key contract, awarded by Aligarh Muslim University, is worth INR 206.6 million (USD 3.1m/EUR 2.7m). The company will design, engineer, procure, build and commission the grid-connected system. It will also provide operation and maintenance services for 10 years.
In March, Ujaas received an order for a 5-MW photovoltaic (PV) project from Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd – Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, while in February it got a contract to deploy a 1.8-MWp ground-mounted PV plant for the Airport Authority of India (AAI).
