to-the-point Solar Power Network to install 12.5 MW of solar rooftops in Japan

October 2 – Canadian Solar Power Network, or SPN, announced on Thursday it will build a rooftop solar system, with 12.5 MW of combined capacity, on 32 stores of Japanese retail firm Trial Company, Inc.

SPN estimates the power generated by the system will be the equivalent to about 25% of the total annual power consumption of the Trial stores, with an expected annual energy production of some 137.5 MWh.

The solar company business plan is based upon leasing unused rooftop space from building owners with a generous compensation plan tailored to owner needs.

Solar Power will be responsible for the design and construction of the rooftop system which will cover stores in the regions of Kyushu, Chubu, Kanto and Tohoku.
