to-the-point SB Energy to build 1.2-MW PV plant in Nagano
September 28 – Japanese renewable energy firm SB Energy Corp said today it will install a 1.2-MW photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Nagano prefecture.
Spread over an area of 1.9 hectares (4.7 acres) in Saku city, the Softbank Nagano Saku Solar Park, as the project is named, is scheduled to start commercial operations by August 2017.
The Japanese company, which is the clean energy arm of SoftBank Corp (TYO:9984), estimates that the PV farm will have an output of more than 1.44 million kWh per year, enough power to meet the annual demand of some 400 local homes.
