to-the-point Huaneng Renewables closes CNY-500m debentures offering

March 12 – Chinese wind and solar park operator Huaneng Renewables Corp Ltd (HKG:0958) has issued CNY 500 million (USD 79.8m/EUR 75.1m) worth of one-year debentures for debt repayment.

The short-term debentures have a 4.6% coupon, which started to accrue on March 12, the company said in a statement on Thursday (http://www.hkexnews.hk/listedco/listconews/sehk/2015/0312/LTN20150312684.pdf). Huatai Securities Co Ltd and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd served as bookrunner and underwriter of the issue, respectively.

At the end of June 2014, Huaneng Renewables, which is part of China Huaneng Group, had 6,320 MW of wind and 400 MW of solar parks in operation.
