to-the-point Greentech Energy’s production declines 3% y/y in Apr

May 15 – Danish renewable energy company Greentech Energy Systems A/S (CPH:GES) on Friday said its net electricity production fell 3% year-on-year in April 2015 to 33,335 MWh, reflecting lower wind generation.

Net wind output declined to 27,413 MWh from 29,234 MWh due to low wind speeds in Spain, Germany and Italy. Net solar generation climbed to 5,922 MWh from 5,302 MWh thanks to higher-than-expected average irradiation in Italy.

In the first four months of the year, the company’s net electricity production increased 4% compared with the year-ago period to 160,937 MWh, according to the announcement.

Greentech had 257.9 MW of net capacity at the end of April, the same as a year ago. Net wind capacity totals 219.95 MW and solar is 37.95 MW.
