to-the-point DE Shaw BPRE buy 7.1 MW of Indiana solar projects

May 25 – US investment firm DE Shaw and Bright Plain Renewable Energy (BPRE) have bought two solar projects totalling 7.1 MW direct current (DC) in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The acquisition was made by an affiliate of DE Shaw Renewable Investments LLC (DESRI) in partnership with BPRE, the companies said last week. The projects, located on industrial property, were developed by Community Energy Inc. They will be built and operated by GroSolar, with completion due later in 2015. The electricity will be supplied to Indianapolis Power & Light Co, part of the AES Corp (NYSE:AES).
