Dome Solar to supply mounting systems for PV project in Switzerland
January 22 – French manufacturer of mounting systems for photovolatic (PV) plants Dome Solar has been contracted to deliver mounting systems for a large-scale project in Switzerland.
The solar power plant will be built in Onnens-Bonvillars, near the lake Neuchatel and will be the largest in Switzerland so far, the French company said in a news release.
The 35,000 solar panels will be installed on 13 rooftops, covering a total surface of 52,000 square metres or roughly the size of about seven football playgrounds.
According to estimates of the developer — Soleol SA, the solar array will have a nameplate capacity of 8.3 MWp and its power output will equal the annual consumption of 2,300 local households.
The PV panels will be mounted on buildings of Swiss Procimmo SA, an asset manager of collective real-estate investments.
Commissioning is schedulled for the summer of 2016.
