April 20 – Brazilian power utility Tractebel Energia (BVMF:TBLE3) said on Tuesday it has concluded the acquisition of a
50% stake in GD Brasil Energia Solar SA.
GD Brasil is part of the Araxa Group, operating in the Brazilian market for distributed generation photovoltaic (PV) systems. The total investment could reach BRL 24.3 million (USD 6.8m/EUR 6m), noted Tractebel.
This new investment marks Tractebel’s entry into Brazil’s distributed solar sector. The company is a unit of French utility Engie (EPA:ENGI).
