Windpower Monthy launches industry awards
UK: Windpower Monthly has launched the Windpower Awards, a celebration of what is best in the onshore and offshore wind industry.
The Windpower Awards follow on from Windpower Monthly’s annual features such as “Product of the Year” and “The Most Influential People in wind power”, which focus on the people, technology and practices that are shaping the industry.
“In an industry that has grown from niche to a major energy player in a mere couple of decades, there is much to celebrate — innovation, inspiration, people, products and business practices,” said William Kendrick, publisher of Windpower Monthly. “This is an opportunity to promote the great work being done in the global wind and green energy sector — both to the industry and to the wider community.”
Awards categories cover products and services, ranging from “best offshore turbine” to “best construction contractor” and “wind power consultant of the year”. All entries will be judged by an expert panel, and the winners will be featured in a Windpower Monthly special feature later in the year.
Entry requirements include a two-page submission and a minimal entry fee to cover administration costs. For more information go to windpowerawards.com.
