to-the-point SolarCity to install PV systems on WFM stores

March 8 – SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) said today it will help US natural and organic foods retailer Whole Foods Market Inc (NASDAQ:WFM) retrofit up to 100 stores with rooftop solar systems.

The solar firm will custom design photovoltaic (PV) systems for facilities in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York to maximise the amount of grid power offset. It expects to start installation this spring.

Once the solar arrays have been deployed, they are seen to place Whole Foods Market within the top 25 corporate solar users in the country, SolarCity said.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.
