to-the-point ReNew Power wins 49 MW in Indian rooftop solar tender

November 25 – The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has awarded about a tenth of a 500-MW rooftop solar tender to independent power producer ReNew Power Ventures Pvt Ltd.
ReNew Power has won the highest number of projects, totalling 49 MW, under the tender, the Economic Times said, citing the company. The auction concerned projects on institutional and residential buildings. Around 130 bidders took part in the tender.
Prabhat Kumar Mishra, head of distributed solar and offtake at ReNew Power, commented that distributed solar is becoming a key focus area for the company. Its existing pipeline of such projects amounts to 100 MW.
