to-the-point Mexico approves 30-MW PV project

November 2 – Prosolia Internacional de Mexico SA de CV has received approval to build and operate a 30-MW photovoltaic (PV) park in San Luis de la Paz, central Mexico, the ministry of environment said in its report last week.

The facility will be installed in a 75-ha (185-acre) area and will produce 60 GWh of clean energy per year. The permit is valid 43 years.

Proteus Solar SA de CV is willing to install 60 MW of PV capacity in the same municipality of Guanajuato state, according to the latest environmental impact declarations presented to the ministry.
