to-the-point Kyowa Exeo completes 1.18-MW PV park in Japan
February 9 – Japanese engineering firm Kyowa Exeo Corp announced Friday it has completed the construction of a 1.18-MW photovoltaic (PV) system in Yamanashi Prefecture.
The Ubaishi Solar Power Plant, as it is named, was built on 14,356 sq m of land in Nirasaki city. It started selling its electricity on February 3, according to the company’s press release. With about 4,440 solar panels, the PV array can generate about 1.2 million kWh per year, equivalent to the consumption of some 350 local homes.
Last November, Kyowa Exeo also completed the construction of a 2.3-MW PV plant in the Chugoku region, Shimane Prefecture.
