to-the-point Japan’s Nankai swtiches on 500-kW PV array in Osaka
October 14 – Japanese firm Nankai Electric Railway Co Ltd started today commercial operation of a 500-kW solar array in Osaka prefecture.
Located in Misaki city, the photovoltaic (PV) system has an estimated annual output of 642,000 kWh, enough to meet electricity demand from some 180 local households.
Spread over an area of 9,351 sq m (100,653 sq ft), the PV array is comprised of 1,728 solar panels and will sell its output for a 20-year term, Nankai said in its press release.
This is the second solar system the company has in Osaka.
