to-the-point Japan’s JX completes 1.2-MW PV array in Hiroshima
March 18 – Japanese refiner JX Nippon Oil and Energy Corp announced on Wednesday that it has completed a 1.2-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) system in Hiroshima prefecture.
The solar array, dubbed Hiroshima Mega Solar Power Plant, began producing energy on the 14th of this month. Spread over an area of 17,000 sq m (182,986 sq ft), this PV system is the 11th JX Corp has under operation. The power output will be sold to domestic utility Chugoku Electric Power Co Inc.
Overall, JX’s solar portfolio includes 29.6 MW of operational plants and 5.4 MW of projects under construction.
