Apr 28, 2015 18:21 CEST
April 28 – Spanish grid integration specialist GPTech said on Monday it will supply inverters for the 35-MW Marcovia Fase I solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Honduras’ Choluteca department.
Grupo Ortiz, which is building the facility for Gestamp Solar, has hired GPTech to develop 24 APIS (Advanced Power Integrated Station) solutions, consisting of a container with the needed power conversion equipment and MV transformers among other components. The value of the contract was not mentioned.
The Marcovia Fase I PV plant is expected to reach 42.38 MWp under optimal operating conditions.
Previously, Grupo Ortiz selected GPTech to supply its conversion technology for the 80-MW Horus PV station in Guatemala, the first phase of which was inaugurated in early February 2015.
