to-the-point Generacion Solar Peru to study 150 MW of PV plants

May 29 – Peru’s energy ministry has granted concession permits to local firm Generacion Solar Peru SAC for feasibility studies on three photovoltaic (PV) power projects of 50 MW each.
The company will study the Taqana PV park in the Tacna district and its Nazca and Paracas projects in the districts of Santiago and Salas, respectively, according to publications in the state gazette on Thursday.
The studies will be developed within the next two years.
Peru’s installed solar power capacity stands at 96 MW, distributed between five PV parks, according to the 2014 report of the government.
