to-the-point EDPR to acquire rights to build 2.5-MW solar plant in Portugal
November 6 – EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) has agreed to acquire Stirlingpower Unipessoal Lda, including a licence to build and operate a 2.5-MW solar plant in Evora city, Portugal.
The deal is currently being assessed by Portugal’s Competition Authority (AdC). Its value is not known.
Currently, the renewables arm of power utility EDP (ELI:EDP) has in its portfolio a 2-MW solar plant in Portugal as well as just 80 MW in the other 11 markets where it does business. For comparison, its installed wind power capacity surpasses 9 GW.
