to-the-point Brazil’s Grupo Telles opens 3-MW PV plant in Ceara
October 21 – Brazilian conglomerate Grupo Telles has inaugurated a 3-MW photovoltaic (PV) park in Ceara state, local media said on Thursday.
During the opening ceremony, the company said it has plans to increase the park’s capacity to 5 MW in the near future. So far BRL 30 million (USD 9.5m/EUR 8.7m) have been invested in this power plant, which is comprised of 9,223 solar panels supplied by US company SunEdison Inc (OTCMKTS:SUNEQ).
The PV plant’s output will be used in full in a local facility of Grupo Telles, with the main objective being to lower the cost of electricity and ensure the supply of power.
