Tanguy Serra is SolarCity’s new CFO
February 12 – US solar power company SolarCity (NASDAQ:SCTY) said it has appointed on Wednesday Tanguy Serra, 37, is its new chief financial officer.
Serra, 37, joined the company in May 2013 as executive vice president of operations. He was promoted to chief operations officer in February 2014 and president in November 2015. Before SolarCity, Serra has been CEO of Vivint Solar Inc and vice president of TPG Capital LP. Before that he has served as financial analyst with Morgan Stanley Capital Partners and Merrill Lynch.
Brad Buss resigned as SolarCity’s CFO after completion of 2015 financial reporting. He will remain as an advisor by the end of the year.
On Wednesday SolarCity reported a 54% year-on-year rise in fourth-quarter (Q4) installations to the record 272 MW, but still missed its own projections for 280 MW-300 MW. The non-GAAP loss per share was USD 2.37 (EUR 2.11) and the company guided for an even wider non-GAAP deficit of USD 2.55 to USD 2.65 per share in the first quarter of 2016.
