Sunergy wins 260-MW PV module supply order in China
August 21 – Solar power equipment maker China Sunergy Co Ltd (NASDAQ:CSUN) has received an order to supply 260 MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules to state-owned energy group China Power Investment Corp.
The deliveries will be made by Sunergy’s subsidiary CEEG (Nanjing) Renewable Energy Co Ltd over a 12-month period that started last month, the supplier said in a press release on Friday. China Power Investment Corp has purchased the modules for use in a number of ground solar PV installations in various locations across the country.
Commenting on the new order, Sunergy’s chairman and CEO Tingxiu Lu said that the company looks forward to identifying similarly strategic opportunities both at home and abroad in the near future.
The value of the latest module supply contract was not disclosed.
China Synergy is a producer of both PV cells and modules, with factories in China and Turkey.
