Soltec to manufacture trackers in Brazil

September 11 – Spanish solar products maker Soltec Renewable Energies said Thursday it will open a factory in the state of Bahia with a capacity to produce solar trackers for 300 MW a year for Brazil and other South American markets.

Soltec’s tracker capacity will thus reach 1.5 GW annually, including its factories in Spain and China.

In the last 18 months, the company equipped five solar power plants that will generate 350 MW at the end of 2015, while for 2016 it expects to manufacture and install 600 MW to 800 MW. The target for 2018 is 1.2 GW.

Meanwhile, Soltec continues its international expansion with offices in Mexico and Peru, in addition to the ones in Brazil, Chile, China, Scandinavia, Israel, Italy and the US.
