Solar3D bags USD 12m of solar deals in California

January 5 – US firm Solar3D Inc (NASDAQ:SLTD) said today it has bagged some USD 12 million (EUR 11.2m) worth of orders for its solar power solutions from agricultural and commercial customers in California.
The company will deliver a USD-3.6-million ground mount solar system of 2.2 MW for local cooperative Butte County Rice Growers Association (BUCRA) that will help save over USD 14.8 million in energy costs over a 25-year period. It will also install a 1.03-MW ground mount array for Corder Farms in the Fall River Valley under a USD-2.1-million deal.
In addition, Solar3D will implement similar projects for Five H Farms, Colusa Rice Company and Kern Ice and Cold Storage. At the same time, farms including Tarke Farms, Sills Farms Inc, Van Dyke Farming, Cain Ranch, JH Meek & Sons and Heidrick & Heidrick Enterprises awarded deals with a combined value of USD 2.5 million.
