Heavy gauge aluminum, looks pretty good on the deck posts. More attractive than many plastic ones out there. Easy to install. There are 2 LEDs, enough to make stairs visible. Light lasts about 6 hours after they come on at dusk. I’m satisfied with them on dark nights after sunny summer days, but performance is poor in the cloudy winter. Found them for $20 each, shop and compare. Somewhere there may be something stronger with 2 batteries instead of one.
