Recognized as the commerce capitol of India, Mumbai is to New York City as New Delhi is to Washington, D.C. Participants from across India, as well as the region, will join manufacturers, financiers, project developers, and construction firms from around the world for the four-day Intersolar India conference and exhibition, November 11-14th. The PV market in India is red hot, across all sectors – utility-scale, commercial, and off-grid systems are all being installed at increasing rates, helping to make the utility grid more robust and providing electricity to those where there is no grid.
SEI instructors Brian Mehalic and Rebekah Hren will teach three, three-hour long classes, one of each day of the exhibition of the conference, focusing on areas of particular importance to the PV market in India: Considerations for Large-Scale PV Systems; Quality Assurance and O&M; and Advanced Battery-Based PV Systems. The goal is to ensure that all types of PV systems are designed correctly, installed using best practices, and are operated in a way to ensure they are reliable and production goals are met or exceeded.
A licensed electrician and certified PV installer and instructor, Rebekah Hren states: “SEI has had a fantastic time teaching for Intersolar North America in San Francisco the last couple of years, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with them again, continuing to be true to the “international” in Solar Energy International.”
“PV is truly a global industry – demand in one country or region can have an impact on other markets, and while materials and practices may vary, our mission is to make sure the industry is growing in a sustainable manner, and that means system reliability is paramount,” continues Hren.
Hope to see you in Mumbai! Or at another Intersolar conference in the future…Brazil or China anyone?
