SEI Pulls in a Full House for Solar Photovoltaic Training at Intersolar

It’s a busy time of the year for solar trade shows, and Solar Energy International (SEI) had another successful one at Intersolar North America, taking in the sights (and sounds…and tastes!) of the fantastic, downtown San Francisco venue, promoting our new textbook (Solar Electric Handbook: Photovoltaic Fundamentals is available for pre-order, shipping at the end of the month), reconnecting with industry friends and insiders, casting ballots at the Solar Battle of the Bands, and staying on top of the latest and greatest the PV industry had to offer.

Instructors Rebekah Hren and Brian Mehalic taught to a sold at crowd on Monday, discussing design strategies and NEC requirements for commercial and utility-scale PV systems.  Presentations on Monday (Operations and Maintenance of PV Systems) and Wednesday (PVSyst) were also very well attended.  Don’t worry if you missed out…SEI will be teaching more classes at Solar Power International (SPI) in Orlando this September, ranging from battery-based system design, to commercial and utility scale O&M, and including the first class taught in Spanish in SPI history.  Be sure to register soon, these pre-conference classes are sure to fill up fast as industry veterans and newcomers alike look to expand their knowledge and meet NABCEP credit requirements.

Sure, after several days your feet hurt, and sometimes your voice gets a little tired after taking to friends, colleagues, and new acquaintances all day, but it sure is worth it – the solar industry is growing rapidly and it’s good to take time and catch up…see you in Orlando, and hopefully next year in San Francisco too!
