September 30 – PSEG Solar Source LLC on Thursday dedicated the 30-MW PSEG Rawhide Flats Solar Center in Colorado.
The company, part of US energy group Public Service Enterprise Group (NYSE:PEG), or PSEG, was joined in cutting the ribbon on the USD-54-million (EUR 48.2m) facility by Platte River Power Authority and Juwi.
The project, whose capacity in direct current (DC) is 36.3 MW, has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Platte River. It was built on a site leased from the power authority at the Rawhide Energy Station.
Juwi developed the project and served as its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.
The solar park has been in startup mode for the past week and should shortly begin commercial operations, PSEG Solar said. The company will then have 15 operational facilities with a combined capacity of 215 MWs. It also has two facilities, totalling 100 MWs, in construction.
