NEXTracker to supply 400 MW of solar trackers for Indian projects
August 17 – California-based NEXTracker Inc and PES Engineers Pvt Ltd have signed a 400-MW master supply agreement, teaming up to offer solar trackers and installation services for major projects in India.
NEXTracker said in a press release on Monday it will ship the solar trackers for the first project under the agreement next month. The supplier mentioned that the first installation will be in central India, but did not give more details. The value of the deal was not disclosed either.
The US company’s independent row architecture and self-powered design will help PES install more photovoltaics (PV) to a broader variety of sites in less time and at a lower cost, said Vasudeva Prasad, managing director of PES.
PES is an Indian firm engaged in providing engineering and construction services for solar, hydroelectric, nuclear and thermal power plants, as well as steel and oil and gas installations.
