NEXTracker ships 105 MW of trackers to strategic partner Adani

September 2 – NEXTracker Inc has delivered trackers to a 105-MW project of Adani Power Ltd (BOM:533096), described as India’s largest solar tracker power plant.
The US photovoltaic (PV) tracker maker said on Thursday this was the first phase of a strategic agreement with Adani that will see NEXTracker supply tracker technology and design consultation, installation and commissioning support to the Indian company’s solar deployments at home and around the world.
“We are playing an active role in supporting India’s National Action Plan for Climate Change to help our country reach 100 GW by 2022 by deploying 10 GW of solar in that time,” said Jayant Parimal, chief executive of Adani Green Energy.
The 105-MW solar power plant is located in the state of Punjab in northern India and is already 50% installed and commissioned, according to the announcement.
