Great Little Fountain,
I was skeptical, having previously purchased a larger contraption that came with a powerful pump and a separate solar panel that was nothing but annoying. The power was intermittent at best and we gave up on it very early into its trial. We are using this little pump in a tall pot that has a sealed bottom. We had to rig a little flotation device underneath so it sits atop the water (and follows the water down as it splashes or evaporates out), but otherwise I am actually thrilled with its performance. For what it is, an inexpensive solar fountain, it works better than I had expected. As long as the sun is hitting the panel, it shoots out a stream of water (if that’s the attachment you prefer) 6-10″ high. I would not recommend using it in a shallow dish, as the water tends to splatter or be blown out of the vessel.

works well,
The solar pump works very nicely. It did take a little fumbling around to get the motor to attach underneath the unit. As a matter of fact a tiny plastic “hook” broke off very easily; but I finally managed to get it to stay attached.
Glad it did stay attached because I like the pump a lot.
It operates exactly as shown in the short video.
It would be absolutely PERFECT if it could store the solar energy like those little solar yard lights do.
As long as there is sunshine … there is a nice fountain. Happily here in SW Florida it has been working for me daily for the last week and a half.

fountain,
Works as they said it would. Comforting, flow of water from bowl to bowl. The only problem is, that unlike solar lights, that save energy for later use, apparently this only works when the sun is shining on the panel. Still pleasing, may be a tad overpriced, but quality appears to be good.

Kyoto solar fountain, from Amazon.,
Delightful fountain, smaller than I hoped, but nice size for our deck. Like a sundial it only works in daytime, it was a gift for my wife and she likes it, so I’m happy. It is well made and certainly attractive and begins pumping with the first rays of sunlight. Amazon had best price, with free shipping.Kyoto Solar Cascading Fountain Kit

Works as advertised.,
Nice addition to the garden. A particular robin think it is his own bath and jumps in the bottom and splashes around. Good unit and works as advertised.
