Japan’s Shizen puts online 1.55 MW solar array in Oita Prefecture
September 10 – Japan’s Shizen Energy Inc announced on Monday it has completed and switched on a 1.55-MW solar array in Oita prefecture.
Based in Taketa city, the Takeda Kibogaoka photovoltaic (PV) power plant, is a partnership with local Kawasemi Group.
The solar array spreads through an area of 1.67 ha (4 acres) and has an expected output of about 1.84 million kWh. Construction took four months and finance was provided by the Howa Bank.
Tokyo-based Juwi Shizen Energy Inc, was responsible for the design and procurement process. Shizen Energy was in charge of the planning and development while Japanese solar firm Denken took care of the construction and will be managing the operations and maintenance (O&M) services of the plant.
Shizen has at the moment 35.1 MW in complete solar plants and a portfolio of renewable energy plants including wind and small hydropower plants (HPP).
