Japan’s Shizen enters 1.8 MW PV project in Hokkaido
November 30 – Japan’s Shizen Energy Inc announced today it has taken part in a 1.8-MW solar array in Hokkaido island.
The Onuma Photovoltaic (PV) Power Plant, as it is named, is expected to generate about 1,913 MWh per year and it is the company’s first project on Japan’s second largest island.
To help fiance the project, Shizen has arranged a loan from Mitsubishi Electric Credit Corporation.
The construction works for the plant started in September while power generation is scheduled to commence in late February 2016.
Local Fuji Manufacturing Co Ltda is in charge of the plant’s planning and development, alongside Shizen.
Engineering, procurement and construction is a responsibility of North Kodensha Co, while Tokyo-based Juwi Shizen Energy Inc will take care of the operation and maintenance (O&M).
