Japan’s Orix to break ground on 25 MW of Yamaguchi PV on Friday
July 31 – Japanese energy company Orix Corp (TYO:8591) said Friday it will initiate the construction of four large-scale photovoltaic (PV) parks with a combined capacity of 25 MW in the country’s southern Yamaguchi prefecture on July 31, 2015.
The PV facilities are expected to be able to generate enough electricity to power roughly 7,865 local households each year, according to the press release. Looking forward, Orix noted that it will continue to seek new business opportunities on the renewable energy market.
