Ichigo gets license for 1.6 MW of PV in Ibaraki Prefecture

January 29 – Japanese firm Ichigo ECO Energy Corp said today it has secured the licenses it needs to implement two solar projects, of 1.57 MW in total, in Ibaraki Prefecture.

The renewable energy arm of real estate investor Ichigo Group Holdings (JASDAQ:2337) expects to break ground on both projects next month.

Scheduled to began commercial operation in July of this year, the photovoltaic (PV) plants can generate together about 1.78 million kWh per year, enough to meet the power demand of 495 local households.
