October 21 – German photovoltaic (PV) systems provider IBC Solar AG said on Wednesday it has concluded work on the 18.5-MWp Matrai Eroemue solar park in Visonta, Hungary and then handed it over to the operator.
The particular facility is Hungary’s largest solar plant and is located near the country’s biggest coal-fired power station. It comprises 72,480 solar photovoltaic (PV) modules that are hooked to one of the site’s 10 central inverter stations.
The Matrai Eromu solar park has the capacity to generate enough power to supply about 10,000 local homes each year, the installer said.
