Huawei to equip 90 MW of PV projects in Brazil

September 30 – China’s Huawei Technologies Co Ltd (SHE:002502) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Brazilian builder Steelcons to supply equipment for 90 MW of solar projects.

Steelcons won contracts for these three 30-MW photovoltaic (PV) projects in the November 2015 energy auction. It expects to begin construction work on the plants in the first quarter of 2017. They are seen to start comercial operation by the end of 2018, Huawei said in a press release.

The Chinese company will supply its full FusionSolar 3.0 Smart PV Solution, which includes its latest smart PV inverter SUN2000-50KTL, the smart collector SmartLogger, the anti-PID module and the PLC control system.

Steelcons and Huawei have also discussed renewable energy development prospects and operation and maintenance (O&M) services for smart PV systems.
