Goldwind gets nod for 11-MW PV park in Aussie NSW – report
Jun 27, 2016 11:21 CEST
June 27 – The Southern Regional Planning Panel on Thursday gave the green light to Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology (HKG:2208) to install a 11-MW solar farm in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), Goulburn Post said.
The AUD-25-million (USD 18.5m/EUR 16.8m) photovoltaic (PV) plant will be constructed close to the 165.5-MW Gullen Range wind park, which was acquired by the Chinese turbine maker in end-January 2011. Both of them will be located south of Crookwell town.
The solar project envisages installing 40,000 PV panels on mounted structures three to four metres high, according to the report on Monday. The conditional approval was granted subject to several conditions, such as limited construction hours, vehicle movements, keeping a complaints register and planting a tree screen to soften the visual impact on neighbouring properties.
In April this year, the Planning Panel put off its decision on the scheme, calling for additional information on various aspects of the solar project. The go-ahead was granted after taking into account community and stakeholder submissions, panel chairman Allen Grimwood was cited as saying.
