September 9 – German solar power developer Sybac Solar Group, announced last week the construction of a 2.74-MW solar power plant in Nagasaki prefecture.
The new plant, located in the city of Isahaya, will be managed by the group’s Japanese arm, Sybac Solar Japan, and Japan Green Power Development.
The construction has already started and it is expected to be completed in around February 2016. The project has secured a feed-in tariff (FiTs) of JPY 36 (USD 0.298/EUR 0.267) per kWh.
To speed up the construction, the company acquired two projects of less than 2 MW, 1.99-MW and 750-kW, since the implementation period for such schemes is about three to five months.
Engineering, procurement and construction services will be provided by Sybac Solar Japan and partner companies. The solar panels will be supplied by Zhongli Talesun Solar Technology Co. and the power conditioners by Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corp (TMEIC).
Sybac Solar Group has worked on 3 solar plants in Japan, and in 2016 expects to hit up to 60 MW in Japan.
