Exosun to cut nearly a third of jobs at Martillac site

October 31 – A third of the jobs at the Martillac headquarters of French solar tracking equipment maker Exosun will be cut under a new restructuring plan that the company is undertaking, local media reports.
The site, located in the Gironde department of southwest France, will part with about 20 of the 70 current workers due to price pressure on the company products, local daily Sud-Ouest writes citing Exosun’s general manager François Ménard.
Since its establishment in 2007, Exosun has increased its international operations with offices in the USA (2012), South Africa (2014), Brazil, Chili and Mexico (2015) and Australia and Jordan this year.
In September, the company announced its president and founder Frédéric Conchy has relocated from the company’s French headquarters in Bordeaux to Exosun Inc.’s office in San Francisco to closely support the company’s rapid growth in the USA, the biggest solar tracker market, and in Mexico, a major emerging market.
