October 22 – Solar power producer Etrion Corp (STO:ETX) said Wednesday its output was 73.7 GWh in the third quarter of 2015, a slight increase from the previous quarter with the completion of a 9.3-MW project in Japan.
Etrion’s 60-MW portfolio in Italy produced 34.6 GWh, down from 36.7 GWh in April-June, while its 70%-owned 70-MW Salvador park in Chile, launched in January 2015, generated 36.5 GWh versus 35.1 GWh. In Italy, the company renegotiated operation and maintenance contracts, reducing annual expenses by USD 1.6 million (EUR 1.4m).
In Japan, the output rose to 2.6 GWh from 0.6 GWh, with all five sites of the 87%-owned 9.3-MW Mito cluster operational since August. The company will also build a 24.7-MW solar park in this country by the third quarter of 2016.
In the first half of 2015, Etrion produced a total 131 GWh, compared to 51.9 GWh in the same period of 2014.
