ET Solar WEG join forces to offer turnkey services for Brazilian PV projects
October 12 – Chinese smart energy company ET Solar said on Monday it has teamed up with Brazilian electrical equipment maker WEG SA (BVMF:WEGE3) to offer turnkey photovoltaic (PV) solutions in the Latin American country.
The partnership will offer components and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to entities investing in Brazil’s solar power market. In addition, the new alliance will provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for local solar power facilities.
“The consortium grants access to the Brazilian market with compliance with BNDES content requirements,” said Jaime Portaluppi, ET Solar’s Managing Director for Latin America.
The two parties have already started working together and expect to begin construction activities during the first quarter of next year, ET Solar said, without mentioning the names of the partnership’s first customers.
