It does help,
We have an upstairs window that gets a lot of sun during the day and causes that room to get noticeably hotter than others. I’ve noticed a difference since installing this film, and now the room is the same temperature as the other upstairs rooms — not hotter. The film is really easy to apply, just sticks on with water (can’t make it any easier). It is a little bit of a pain to cut, but you don’t have to be exact, and so it’s still relatively easy to do. I’m not sure if I’ll get my money back from energy savings from the purchase or not, but it definitely does help, and it has made our upstairs room more comfortable. You can’t really see the film on the window, so it looks great installed, and I would purchase this again if I had another large sun-facing window.

My daughter’s room is always very cold because of a very large window. The window is already double paned, but I decided to try out this window film to see if it would help. It was fairly easy to install. The hardest part is cutting it to fit–especially the arched part of the window. After a few days (allowing water used during installation to evaporate) you can look through the window and hardly notice the film is there. Be sure to clean the window carefully. My window had a little paint on it which I had to scrape off with a blade because it caused a bubble which was very noticeable. After I scraped off the paint it was fine. Product delivered quickly and was as described. I installed it just in time for the below 0 temps and was surprised at the difference it made. Worth the money.
