EDF EN surpasses 13 GW of capacity under management in H1
September 7 – The renewable energy arm of French utility EDF (EPA:EDF) said on Monday its Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business has reached 13.6 GW in capacity under management during the first half of 2015.
This marks a 16% rise from December 31, 2014, EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) noted. The assets managed by the company, both for its own account and for third parties, are located in 10 countries. Of the total, wind farms account for 12 GW and solar power stations total 1.4 GW.
EDF EN’s O&M businesses in Europe and North America expanded by over 26% and 13%, respectively. EDF Renewable Services, the unit that operates in the US, Canada and Mexico, won contracts for nearly 1.23 GW during the first half of 2015 and now operates and maintains more than 10 GW.
