Brazil approves 88 MW of renewable projects to enter incentives scheme

August 26 – Brazil’s Ministry of Mines and Energy approved four green energy projects with a combined capacity of 88 MW to enter the national Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development (REIDI).
The total cost of the projects is estimated at roughly BRL 412.23 million (USD 127.92m/EUR 113.45m). More details are available in the table below.

The FCR III Itapuranga project will be built in Goias state, starting November 29, 2016. Construction works are expected to be complete by October 1, 2017.
The wind schemes have the same construction schedule, starting on March 1, 2017, with completion expected by October 1, 2018.
REIDI, launched in 2007, grants tax incentives to companies investing in infrastructure projects within the transport, energy, sanitation and irrigation sectors.
