Blue Earth acquires 13-MWp solar project in Oregon
October 23 – US renewable energy company Blue Earth Inc (NASDAQ:BBLU) has acquired the 13-MWp Moores Hallow Solar project in Oregon from Pacific Northwest Solar LLC.
The company said on Thursday it will continue to work on completing the acquisition of the remaining 44 MWp across five projects. Blue Earth unveiled a letter of intent (LoI) to acquire a 57.1-MWp solar power portfolio in Oregon from Pacific Northwest Solar in September.
“This project, along with several others on which our team is currently performing due diligence, represents a commitment to developing, acquiring and/or building renewable energy assets in this region,” said Blue Earth Solar president Ruben Fontes.
Construction of the 13-MWp facility in Malheur County is due to start early in the first quarter of 2016, with commissioning expected in the third quarter of the same year. The output is to be purchased by Idaho Power Company.
