November 3 – Belgium-based private investment firm Baltisse has committed to provide up to USD 100 million (EUR 90.3m) in growth capital to US solar developer Origis Energy.
Origis announced this in a press statement on Thursday, saying that this contribution would help the firm strengthen its offerings to utilities and large-scale corporate energy buyers that seek to procure solar power.
Since Baltisse is entering the capital of Origis, the former’s executive chairman Filip Balcaen will now take a seat on Origis’ board of directors.
Miami-based Origis Energy has to date developed more than 100 solar photovoltaic (PV) projects around the world surpassing 600 MW of total capacity. On previous occasions, Baltisse has been providing financing to the company for solar projects in both Europe and the US.
