to-the-point Cemig counts 7.7 MWp of micro mini systems
September 13 – Brazilian electric utility Cemig (BVMF:CMIG4) said on Monday it has achieved a milestone of 7.7 MWp of micro and mini generation systems.
Overall, in August, the company had 1,074 of distributed generation (DG) systems in the country with photovoltaic (PV) as the main source.
The state of Minas Gerais, where Cemig’s headquarters are, is one of the main contributors for this mark with its excellent levels of solar radiation and attractive energy rates for investors in distributed generation, said Marcio Eli Moreira de Souza, technology and standardization engineer at Cemig’s subsidiary Efficientia.
Brazil expects to have about 1.2 million households with DG system by 2024.
