July 16, – Danish renewables company Greentech Energy Systems A/S (CPH:GES) on Wednesday said its net electricity production increased by 3% year-on-year in the first half of 2015 to 220,336 MWh.
Net power output from the company’s wind facilities in Italy, Spain, Denmark, Germany and Poland was 190,905 MWh in the six months, compared to 184,554 MWh a year earlier. Greentech Energy’s solar capacity, located in Italy and Spain, generated 29,431 MWh, up from 28,762 MWh in the same period of 2014.
In June alone, the company’s net production inched up 1% year-on-year to 27,309 MWh. Net wind generation increased slightly to 21,005 MWh from 20,723 MWh. The company said the figure was below estimates due to poor wind conditions in almost all of its markets except for Denmark.
Net solar production was 6,304 MWh, compared to 6,441 MWh in June 2014 and in line with the company’s expectations, according to the statement.
Last month, Greentech Energy announced the disposal of its 50% stake in two German wind farms totalling 13.5 MW. It has decided to sell its interest in the two assets in order to “focus efforts and resources on different opportunities,” said chairman Peter Hostgaard-Jensen.
